Camping FAQ

I want to bring the mead I brought at the festival to the campsite, but glass is not allowed?

Indeed, glass is not allowed on the campsite grounds. That is why Mead and More has a special bottle(ex)change program, where you can get your mead poured into a plastic bottle. That plastic bottle is allowed on the campsite grounds and you can still share your mead with all your drinking buddies!

Where can I put my (re-enactment/LARP) weapons?

At the entrance (to the campsite) is a special ‘weapon wardrobe’. Here you can hand over your weapon for safekeeping. Weapons are NOT allowed on the campsite. You will receive a receipt and with that you can pick your weapon up whenever you leave the campsite.

Are dogs allowed at the campsite?

No, it is not allowed to bring animals onto the campsite. Only certified and clearly as such recognisable guide dogs are allowed. They need to be walked outside the camping grounds.

Are you allowed to build a campfire or fire up the barbecue at the campsite?

No, due to fire regulations you are not allowed to have a campfire, barbeque or have any form of open fire.

Are we guaranteed a quiet campsite after 23:00 (11:00 pm)?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee this. Do you want to be guaranteed of some peace and quiet, then we recommend you to book a spot at a regular campsite.

Can I buy items like bread and coffee at the campsite?

There will be  breakfast service where you can buy freshly baked treats and croissants, as well as coffee, tea and fresh juices. During day time this will be extended to lovely meals and beers. In the evening you can also buy yourself some drinks or a late-night snack if you crave something in the wee hours.

Are people allowed onto the campsite to help me set up my tent?

This is only possible on Thursday between 10:00 and 16:00. After that time the campsite is only accessible for people with special campsite wristbands.

Will I be able to charge my phone somewhere?

Unfortunately not at the fields. We will however provide a centralized place where you can charge your phone for a small fee (make sure to bring your own charger!) or buy the one and only Castlefest Powerbank.

Can I drive my car onto the campsite?

It is not allowed to enter the camping by car. You can park your car at the visitors parking. From here it will be a few hundred meters walk to the campsite.

Until what time am I allowed to make noise/sounds/music on the tent fields?

After 23:00 no music or loud noises are allowed on the fields. At the chill-out zone you are allowed to party all night long. Of course, we would appreciate if you take some care not to wake everyone up because there are allot of early risers out there who will gladly let you sleep in as well.

I want to set up my tent right next to my friend’s? Is that ok?

Only if you arrive at the same and at a reasonable time can we arrange this. The more time passes between either one of your arrivals the less chance you have of sleeping next to your buddy. We will not reserve any spot for anyone.

Can I park my motorcycle next to the tent?

No, you will have to park your motorcycle on the parking-lot.

Am I allowed to cook at my tent?

No, due to fire regulations we cannot allow any form of cooking near or at the tents. On the central square we will provide a special cookzone. Here you can use your camping burner to cook on. Check out the camping rules to see which camping burners are allowed. Other types of bottles than the ones mentioned are not allowed at the camping.

Will there be enough spots to not buy a campsite ticket during the presale period, hope for the best and just try to buy one at the gate?

No, there is a limited amount of spots available and we only sell tickets to the campsite during our presale period.

Unfortunately my question is not among this list, can I ask my question anywhere else?
